Hmm... *puts some post that looks impressive here*There was something about thinking on the past, something that made you care about a person more. In this case, it was about a person by the name of Chris James. The very same Chris James that was her boyfriend, and had been for five months. If she was truthful, she knew that she loved him. That what she thought had been love hadn't really been love at all. She still didn't want to risk anything, they had only been dating for five months. Yet she loved him more than anything. The whole time she reflected it was about all the good moments. Not about the moment when he had first asked if she loved him. The only thing that was reflected was the feelings within the kiss. Nothing else during that should matter to her. Even though, she was still not telling Chris that she loved him back. Did he really love her? Yes, she knew that he did, but how long that would last was always up in the air. She didn't want to say it and then have Chris hurt her and then leave her. It would be her ex-boyfriend all over again. She was doing her best to make sure that Chris wasn't a guy like that and didn't end up like it. The truth was that she wanted to spend her life with him. How would she even be able to say that if she couldn't even say four words? What she should be worrying about was things like senior year and the fun she would try to have. That was no longer a goal with a murderer running around on the lose. No, she wanted to figure it out, but she wasn't being too serous about it yet. When it seemed drastic to solve this, she would really get into it. After all, they did portrayals of real cases in school.
The familiar sound of the truck horn reached her ears and she stood up to get it. It was a good thing that her parents always thought it was the person trying to fix their car across the street. They had been trying to fix it for weeks with little success. She gave her parents the usual good-bye and headed out the door. A smile appeared naturally, it couldn't be helped. Even if she couldn't say it, if you looked closely enough she had all the signs of it. The first one was of course, smiling at just seeing their face. She couldn't help it, no matter what mood she had been in before she went out the door. Walking to the truck door and hopping into the car. Making sure that she was wearing a seat belt and the door was closed all the way. Then Chris' lips contacted briefly and her head spun. That had to be another side effect of being in love. All the kisses that you were given or gave just blew you away. Of course, she looked like her normal self, just with a smile added to the expression. Jackie had never been the type to smile. Maybe a small one, but it would barely be counted as one. Now her smiles were more genuine. She wasn't denying that she was in love, she just didn't tell the person that she loved. There was no way that she knew to express it well other than the actions that she was already doing. Jackie wanted Chris to go to college, it would be good for him. Plus, he wouldn't be stuck with just basketball if he went, and he could do more than that.
"Hey." She said as a simple reply, but with a firm smile as he started up the truck to head to the cafe. The cafe was always a nice place to eat. Plenty of things were there that she liked and it was a pretty social area. She was considering quiting her old job and starting to work there. That might be what she would do too, and it would be nice. Chris always took her there when he wanted to give her a treat or make her feel better. Though, it wasn't the restaurant that did it. Knowing that he cared so much was what really did it. Though he probably had no idea that it was the trick to it at all. Smiling, she hopped out of the car and waited for Chris to get out as well so they could head inside. Her pace was always way too fast, and she wondered if Chris worried about it. Knowing Chris, he probably did more than was good for him. She knew that there was nothing that she could do about that right now. He should at least be getting slightly adjusted to it by now. Even though she knew that it wasn't healthy for her at all. Sighing a bit, she let her time still for a few seconds. She went fast so she wouldn't worry about things. If she sat down and relaxed she would start thinking. Then things would get really complicated and there would be problems. He probably didn't know, but about have the time she was worrying. It was either about a friend, work, the murders or him. She just didn't want other people to worry about her and for her to do all the worrying. Even if that made no sense to anyone around her at all.
